Thank you for visiting our website. Our theme for this year is “Beholding the wells of Grace” and comes from the last part of Romans 5:20 which states, “…But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more”. Grace can be defined as the unmerited, undeserved favor and kindness of God. It is the unconditional acceptance that we receive from God. Grace is also the divine enablement or empowerment for a specific task. Therefore, grace is not only available to us as we RECEIVE from God, but is also GIVEN to us to accomplish/endure everything we encounter.
Take a look at our banner for this year and you will notice that it pictures water gushing forth out of a well. Consider this analogy: A well of water has to be dug, reinforced, and protected for use. Then, by more effort, its water is pulled up, lifted out, and then used. Whereas an artesian spring is under pressure so it flows out freely. It typically flows at a low velocity and only rarely gushes forth. However, even it has to be covered, protected, and the water collected for use. The grace of God, however, flows freely outward and does not require any work on anyone’s part for it to be used. It is abundant in great volume and available whenever needed, with no works/effort involved. We can praise the Lord for His abundant and needed grace in our lives, flowing out from His Throne of Grace & Mercy.
Please take a look around at the various ministries that are provided and I believe that you will find many opportunities for you and your family. Jill and I look forward to personally meeting you at one of our services.
I pray that you will be blessed in 2015 as you experience the grace of God!
In Christ’s Love,
Pastor Robbie Mathis
